Well... (Updated)*

Crap. I took a digital HPT yesterday. It said "pregnant" on it, so I joyfully called my RE's office to schedule a blood test. I took four more tests yesterday (spastic, I know), 2 of them came up with really faint pink lines. I had my beta today, and my number was 26. The head nurse said they liked to see numbers higher than that, but she didn't say what.

26.

That's it. 26.

Crap.

Monday is the soonest we can re-check. I'm sick and terrified and dejected.

26?

*Maybe I should mention that I'm 14dpIUI, but I really think I'm only 11 or 12dpo.

  4. At 9dp5dt, I was at 30. I'm 12.5 weeks pregnant right now. I know it's really hard to believe it could be okay, but it really could. I had 3 chemicals before this, so I really do understand the agony. I will keep everything crossed that you're gonna be okay.

  5. I won't comment on the beta number except to agree with the other comments.

Keep breathing and take care of yourself.

  8. I could be pulling a number out of my ass, but I think most clinics like to see a number over 50. BUT - I have read many stories of people having betas similar to yours and going on to have perfectly healthy pregnancies. Crossing everything for you and hoping that you get great news on Monday!!

  11. Visiting from LFCA...

I understand EXACTLY where you're at. My story isn't uplifting, but I wanted to at least offer this from my own experience:

Take a deep breath. You're pregnant. (CONGRATS!!!!) I'm sure your emotions are all over the place, but you can make a conscious decision to enjoy this weekend, and hope/pray for the best on Monday. Even if it is so dreadfully far away.

I read your history on your sidebar, and you've been through so much.... please remember to enjoy these days. You can't control what happens; but bask in the Now. I am joining the ranks and sending massive amounts of sticky vibes and good thoughts into the universe for you.

  12. Actually, Julie had taken me to lunch for my birthday and we were in the car coming back from Fort Worth when the doctor's office called. She talked to them, hung up the phone, turned to Jeff and said, "I'm a little bit pregnant." I am telling you this because Julie won't remember later. She takes after me.

    Julie's cautiously optimistic Mom.

  13. I know exactly where you are mentally right now. But truly the others are right -- at this stage this sounds like a totally reasonable number. This weekend, do all the things you love. Go get a pedicure. Sip lemonade and read a really good book (or trashy celeb magazine). Watch a movie you've been wanting to see. Basically do anything you can to enjoy each moment until Monday. I know it's easier said than done, but it's truly the only way you'll keep your sanity. My best thoughts are with you!
